The ball is rolling

OK, guys, thanks again for all your patience. I'm so happy and humbled that many of you still want me to knit for you!

At this point, a few days after emailing the current waitlist folks, I have dived right in and my needles are busy-busy. I think the current plan is more or less to go down the list in order of when they first expressed interest. I'll shuffle a few things around at my discretion in order to best meet people's needs.

Already the customers I've started working with are throwing me some amazing ideas, and I'm really excited about the projects that are forming up!

So...keep watching this community. I think some fun stuff is going to be happening. ;)

Resurfacing

These are...beyond overdue. :\ Productivity has plummeted in the past months as my son is learning the ways of the toddler. And these stagnated for creative reasons as well.

I'm still going to knit, especially since breaking through the "knitter's block" on this pair has freed my inner knitter once more. Details forthcoming. Those on my wait list will be hearing from me.

Here's the plan.

Hey guys, just wanted to give an update!

Looking back through the community, it seems that no matter how much life gets in the way and how slow I feel, I'm finishing an item every two weeks or so. That seems to be a pretty fair guesstimate of how long things will take into the future.

I have decided not to open up my customs list yet. I am going to tie up all the loose ends I've got right now (Cristal, this means we WILL figure something out!), and maybe even do some holiday knitting for my own family! Then, I'll start with the waitlist at the beginning of January. Y'all have been patient and I know some of you will no longer need your spot and that's A-OK! I have 12 names right now which, assuming I remain slow, will take me right out the other side of winter longies season. :) However, I do hope to launch the new year with a new plan of attack for protecting my knitting time, so hopefully things will be a bit speedier.

If you're on the list and you have a deadline (ie. due date), never fear! We'll make it. :) If we've discussed arrangements already, you're sending me yarn etc. then go for it! I will get to it as soon as possible. Also, if you're on the list, check out my in-stock yarn gallery. As you can see it's getting a bit bare; if you have an idea of what you'd like for your order, let me know and/or look into purchasing it yourself for a "your yarn/my needles" special price!

If you have any questions, as always feel free to email me at sunnydayknitting@gmail.com. :)

Collin's black and gray longies

These went out last week. I tried them on my son (he's about Collin's size) and I really loved the fit! I hope they work as well for Collin (and his mom!) I'm working on a rainbow pair that are going to be awesome -- so bright and cheery!

I sent this Small soaker off this week along with the other two pairs of Small longies. I'm finishing up Collin's longies and have started a new pair, for my last order of the current customs list! Soon I'll begin contacting the waitlist folks and seeing if you're still interested.

1. C. wool doublers; wetbag and changing pad to match Heather Ross "Fish in Bags" fabric -- one doubler made, changing pad on the needles (still :( )

5. A. Newborn/small assortment (longies x 2, soakers x 1) -- two pair longies made, soaker awaiting confirmation
6. J. Birthday longies! Gray and black Peace Fleece -- on the needles
7. S. Large longies YYMN -- yarn is here!

I'll be moving on to the waitlist very soon now! If you're on there (or want to be), take a gander at my in-stock yarn at http://www.flickr.com/photos/sunnydaydesigns/sets/72157601803460906/ because I probably will only be able to do in-stock/semi-custom this time around. But if you have a specific design in mind, let me know and maybe we can work something out. Also, I'm always happy to work with your yarn! Just contact me for a "Your Yarn My Needles" quote, sunnydayknitting@gmail.com.
